We feel both groups should share an interest in leveraging their technology investments to optimize business performance.
Learn the basics of Hadoop through a combination of demonstration and lecture. Session participants are invited to follow along leveraging emulation environments and Azure-based clusters, the setting up of which we will address in our first session.

He is co-author of several books on Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies including Microsoft SQL Server 2008 MDX Step by Step.
With energy suppliers revamping their grids to enable real time analysis of energy usage and consumption, a whole new set of insights are being gained. Energy suppliers will be able to adapt their pricing strategies to help spread daily energy consumption while engaging and communicating with their consumers in new ways. During this session, Allyn Moeller and Scott Rylie will present how Microsoft’s latest products were utilized to gain new insights into energy usage and the part weather plays in impacting energy demand. This analysis will include usage patterns around Icemageddon and Dallas Cowboys games among many other analyses. The solution utilized the latest suite of Microsoft products include Windows Azure, SQL Azure, and the Microsoft BI stack including Power BI.
